Boulevardier - Our Spin On The Classic

The Boulevardier, first immortalized in Harry McElhone’s 1927 bar guide,Barflies and Cocktails, has become a staple of today’s craft venues, mostly owing to its bittersweet complexities and simplicity in preparation.

The legendary barman, ex-patriot and famed owner of Harry’s New York Bar, perfected the cocktail over in Paris, during a time when Prohibition was taking its toll on the American palate. A Yankee spin on the classic Negroni, Harry’s substitution of rye whiskey instead of gin, has created a timeless classic.

In Cocktail Trend’s slight variation, Senior Mixologist Ryan Johnson introduces the smokey subtleties of Dewer’s, crafting a libation with a lively pour that tailors to all those darlings of scotch whiskey. Enjoy!
